This adorable Black Cat Face will melt everybody’s heart! Melly is just waking up from her cat nap, checking if there’s some food coming up. Her eyes are only half open so she can settle back to her dreams. The kitty will delight any cat lover as she can hang on any interior wall, and for this purpose I added a little hanger notch at the back she can hang flat against the wall. She is very cute and will make a wonderful present for young or old.
The Melly Cat was hand built and modelled after my own cat. I have used stoneware clay, first press moulded, then worked on to further enhance her expression s and features. She was fired three times, and coloured with under glaze. I kept the sculpture glaze free to allow for more details.
